Das Mikrofeine Vitamin A Präparat wurde ursprünglich für die therapeutische Behandlung von Vitamin A Mangelerscheinungen konzipiert, kann aber auch vorbeugend einmal pro Woche in der richtigen Dosis über das Futter gegeben werden. Vitamin A Mangel ist in der Terraristik häufig anzutreffen z.B. bei Chameleons Zungenprobleme, bei Pfeilgiftfröschen schlechte Quappenentwicklung, Streichholzbeine, Pflanzenfresser können nicht genügend Vitamin A selbst produzieren, schlechtes Immunsystem, Augen- un Häutungsprobleme.

Vitamin A (Retinol) ist ein fettlösliches Vitamin und kommt in der Natur nur in tierischem Eiweiß vor. Pflanzenfressern können in der Terrarienhaltung nicht genügend Grünfutter aufnehmen um das nötige Vitamin A daraus zu produzieren.

Das Präparat enthält Vitamin A in Form eines sprühgetrockneten wasserlöslichen Retinylacetatpulvers in Kombination mit einer natürlichen Quelle von Beta-Carotin das aus Algen gewonnen wird.
